Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is once again in the middle of a controversy. This time, a publishing house, Mitra and Ghosh, has accused the government of targeting them after a book criticising Mamata’s policies was published.

Even though there has been no ban on the book, a police team reportedly searched the offices of the publishing house and even force closed the counter from where the book was being sold.

Written by former police officer Nazrul Islam's, the book - 'What Muslims Should Do' – criticises the government on various issues including its minority appeasement policies and failing to improve conditions of Muslims in the state, as per reports.

Earlier, Mamata government came under fire after a Jadavpur University professor was arrested in April for circulating a cartoon lampooning the CM.

Last month, a man was arrested after he asked Mamata a question at a public rally. Mamata became angry and called him a Maoist.
